How often should I come for lessons?
Good singing with sound technique takes time and consistency. Taking a few lessons here and there will not build a strong foundation. Ms. Moriak studied for about 15 years on a weekly basis, and continues to check in with her voice teacher. Weekly or biweekly lessons are ideal, continuing year-round. Singing every day keeps the instrument strong.
What ages do you teach?
For private lessons, I recommend starting around age 12-adult. However, if your younger child is interested in receiving coaching for auditions, he or she may start younger. In addition, the studio offers group voice lessons, which are lessons for no more than 3 participants where each participant gets private coaching, ear training/sight singing, and musicianship/vocalises/listening. I teach a limited number of students who are motivated to practice and make lessons a priority, so younger students must be ready for that commitment.
